N’Golo Kante to miss Wolves match but Antonio Rudiger returns for Chelsea

N’Golo Kante remains a doubt for Games against Liverpool and Valencia next week and will miss Chelsea’s trip to Wolves on Saturday.

Kante missed both of France’s fixtures during the international break with a foot injury and a return against Wolves is”too soon”, manager Frank Lampard verified on Friday.
Following 17, chelsea play Valencia in their opening Champions League game on Wednesday, prior to hosting Liverpool.
“I do not want to jump the gun since we’re awaiting advancement to fulfill that final step to get him where we need him to be about the pitch again,” Lampard said. “But hopefully that is going to be in a week or so.”
Mateo Kovacic (Achilles) and Pedro (hamstring) are fit to perform against Wolves, while Antonio Rudiger is going to probably likely soon be available after recovering from a knee injury which finished last year prematurely for the protector.
Chelsea have conceded nine goals in their four Premier League games this season, with only Norwich with a record.
“it is a choice for me personally, however, he’ll have a significant responsibility,” said Lampard, if requested if Rudiger goes directly into Chelsea’s defence. “We’ve missed him as we have a few more front-line players.
“I do not want a young team for the sake of it. He could be influential. He is ready to accept those functions.”
Lampard said he was”pleased” to see Mason Mount create his England debut during the global break, but place strain onto the 20-year-old to maintain performances.
“This is where the scrutiny ramps up,” said former England and Chelsea midfielder Lampard.
Tammy Abraham, 21obtained a warning never to allow his spot is seized by rivals at Chelsea’s starting line-up – following four goals.
“I need more, he wants more, they need more – and they’ll have to,” said Lampard.” [Olivier] Giroud, [Michy] Batshuayi – they all want that position so they all must be on their feet.”
