AC Milan have fired head coach Marco Giampaolo, making his tenure the shortest of any manager in team history.
Giampaolo was just hired as an replacement following a fifth-place finish meant the club missed out on the Champions League for Gennaro Gattuso, who resigned as Milan boss.
But, Milan have dropped four of their seven Serie A games this year under Giampaolo.
AC Milan declares it has alleviated Mr. Marco Giampaolo from his position as coach of the first group, the team said in a statement on its website. The team is grateful to Marco for the job carried out and wishes him all the best to come in his career.
Press said Milan are anticipated to replace Giampaolo with Stefano Pioli, who has previously coached city rivals Inter Milan.
A self-confessed Inter enthusiast pioli, trained the Nerazzurri through the 2016-17 year but was terminated in May of that campaign after losing 10 out of 27 matches.
Its the training change in two days in Serie A later Sampdoria were left by Eusebio Di Francesco by approval on Monday. Di Francesco substituted Giampaolo in the Summertime.
